Us☂2:29 AM

I was the girl from space
You were the boy from the sea.

Flying on rocket ships at the speed of light
I stopped to take a look at you.
You shot me down and I fell.
I feel so deep that I thought that I had access to the sea’s greatest treasures.

There I was apprehensive if we could even speak each other’s language.
But you showed me your ways and I showed you mine.

Eventually I learned to appreciate the beauties of your ways
And you learned to appreciate mine.

You wanted to let things flow with the waves
I wanted us to fly through space
You wanted to take what the ocean offers you
I wanted us to crash through the sky and make our own star

I was from space
And you were from sea

I dove deep to the ocean with you but I wasn’t used to the current’s restrictions.
It was so much pressure for me

You went to space with me and you were scared because the ride was too fast.
There was too much pressure for you

I fitted perfectly in your arms
But there was no grip to hold us on

We chose to let things go
And eventually we slipped away

As much as we wanted it
Our worlds will never touch

Love from a distance
It seems just so far away

I’m not worried because in the future
I will be the woman from space
You will be the man from the sea

We'll be ready then
When our two worlds collide.

the colours that fill up my life fill up my soul spilled on this page absorbed through your eyes
